HUMANE TREATMENT OF DUCKS

Culver Duck Farms, Inc. recognizes our ethical obligations and moral responsibilities to the animals under our care. The goal is to exceed all recognized U.S. industry standards for duck well-being within our vertically integrated production system. Our ducks are produced, transported and processed in accordance with scientifically validated and ethically grounded principles of animal husbandry.

Our customers are ensured of the validity and veracity of our animal welfare program through regular audits, system reviews, and ongoing inspection services from the United States Department of Agriculture.

Culver Duck Farms, Inc. continuously strives to improve the welfare of our animals through a dedicated program of research and development designed to enhance our production practices, facility designs, and animal handling.

Any team Member or Contract Producer of the Company is bound to uphold the animal welfare standards of the company when handling our live ducks at any level. We believe in and take very serious our “Zero-Tolerance Policy”. Our animal welfare program is based on the “Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare”. Animals have good welfare when their physical, emotional and behavioral needs are met. The area assessed by our certification programs are referenced from the “Five Freedoms”.
